CNIDH |Déclaration de la CNIDH sur la situation des droits de l’homme

La Commission Nationale Indépendante des Droits de l’Homme (CNIDH) est profondément préoccupée par la recrudescence du phénomène de trafic des êtres humains à destination de pays étrangers notamment l’Arabie Saoudite et l’Oman. La CNIDH se réjouit du regain de conscience du phénomène qui est observé aussi bien au niveau des autorités qu’au niveau des organisations de la société civile et de la population. La CNIDH félicite la police burundaise pour avoir déjà arrêté 7 personnes et identifié onze compagnies soupçonnées d’être impliquées dans le trafic d’au moins 263 personnes depuis le 19 avril 2016.

La CNIDH a également suivi avec préoccupation les actes de gribouillage sur la photo du Président de la République rapportés dans certains établissements scolaires notamment à Ruziba en Mairie de Bujumbura, à Mugamba en province de Bururi, à Cankuzo, à Makamba, à Muramvya, à Muyinga et à Rumonge. La CNIDH est particulièrement préoccupée par l’incarcération de22élèves impliqués dans ces actes de gribouillage. Nous remercions les autorités du Ministère de l’Education pour la généreuse mesure prise de réintégrer les enfants qui avaient été renvoyés du fait de ces actes de falsification de la photo du Président de la République.
